Method & Assessment

  • Presentation/Assignments/Quiz/Class participation will contribute to 30% marks.
  • Project (written & oral) will be 20%. 
  • Examination will be 50%.

Assessment is based on individual presentation of assigned readings, participation in group discussions, written examination and a project submission.                

Course Description:

             To achieve strategic goals and objectives, organizations need to understand what employee behaviors and skills are needed from them to attain their strategic aims. Strategic Human Resource Management course helps participants learn how organizations put in place or align their HR policies and practices with their strategic goals and to achieve the desired organizational performance through their people, the real asset for an organization.      

             This course is taught in an interactive format. To encourage self-learning and participation from students during classes, students are assigned readings for every session to present and discuss their ideas and thoughts through discussion/dialogue. The methods employed for learning by doing are class participation and discussions, case studies, group activities and interaction with practitioners who have first-hand knowledge to illustrate real time strategic HR issues faced by organizations today.
